Our Vision
Our vision is to promote pan-regional uptake and rapid diffusion of innovation into healthcare, to measure the improvement in quality of outcome that is achieved and to ensure the development of a multi-professional workforce that is actively engaged in innovation.
Our Aims
– to secure the best health and healthcare in Europe and in doing so to deliver on the twin aims of value for the patient and value for the tax-payer. - using best practice in innovation and education to deliver better services for patients.
Our Approach
An entrepreneurial approach will be adopted. HIEC-SW will make use of the extensive network that already exists to ensure rapid adoption of best and leading edge practice, to deliver substantial benefits by focusing on what works, identifying and connecting with individuals and organisations to support development, systematically spreading improved care across the SW. Where the best approach is in doubt, we will work to develop answers in partnership with researchers, industry partners and international contacts.
AssessmentA key part of the HIEC‟s activities will be to monitor and assess how spread of best practice and innovative ways of working occurs effectively and use that information to feed back into HIEC activities.
